Specta Mini flight batteries are placed in sleep mode prior to shipping to ensure safety during transportation. Simply connect the aircraft to the battery charger to activate the battery and start using. After activating the battery, press and hold the power button once to turn on the aircraft.

• What app does Specta Mini work with? Where can I download it? Which mobile devices is the app compatible with?

Specta Mini can only be used with the Specta app.

You can download the Specta app from major application stores or from the Manual & APP page on the official Specta website. Please check the website for compatibility.

• How do I activate Specta Mini?

Connect your mobile device to the remote control, then connect to Specta Mini via the Specta app. Follow the instructions in the app to activate Specta Mini.

• Is Specta Mini waterproof?

No, it is not waterproof.

• Does Specta Mini support automatic Return to Home (RTH)?

Yes, it does. When using the Return to Home function, always pay attention to your surroundings and set the correct height to avoid obstacles.

• Can I take photos or videos without a micro SD card? 

Yes. However, if a microSD card is not installed, the photos or videos you take will be at a lower resolution (720p). It is recommended to install a microSD card before shooting.

• Can the Specta Mini automatically track objects?

No.

• What obstacle avoidance sensors does the Specta Mini have?

Specta Mini is equipped with a downward facing infrared sensor system and does not support obstacle avoidance. It is recommended to install the 360° Propeller Guard to fully protect the propellers and improve flight safety.

• Is there a way to apply to fly in a restricted zone?

Yes, you can request permission to fly in restricted areas using the Specta app. 

Camera

• Does Specta Mini support zoom during shooting? How do I use it?

Specta Mini supports digital zoom, and the maximum zoom magnification for each resolution is shown below:

4K: 2 x

2.7K: 3 x

FHD: 4 x

You can zoom the video screen by tapping the zoom icon on the camera view or touching and holding your finger on the screen in Specta app. Or you can press the FN button and turn the left dial on the remote control to zoom.

• Which photo modes does Specta Mini support? 

Single Shot, Interval, Panorama and AEB Triple Shot.

• Does the Specta Mini support portrait mode?

No.

• Does Specta Mini support Panorama?

Yes. It supports Sphere, 180° and Wide-Angle.

• Does Specta Mini support manual mode when taking photos and videos?

Yes. You can adjust shutter speed, ISO and white balance in M mode.

• Does the Specta Mini support Quickshots?

Yes. The QuickShots modes of the Specta app include Dronie, Helix, Rocket, Circle and Boomerang.

• What is the maximum video capture resolution of Specta Mini?

• What are the advantages of video transmission?

Supports both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands. It is more resistant to interference due to automatic frequency switching, allowing video transmission up to 10 km (in clear, interference-free and FCC-compliant conditions).

• How can I improve signal reception?

The remote's smartphone clip houses the antennas. Make sure the antennas are facing the aircraft. Refer to your owner's manual for more information on how to adjust the direction of the antennas. Also, 2.4/5.8 GHz wireless devices can interfere with the signal. Avoid high-density Wi-Fi signal sources, and consider turning off Bluetooth on your mobile devices and idle Bluetooth devices.

• What is the maximum flight time of the Specta Mini?

The maximum flight time is 31 minutes.

• How do I charge the Specta Mini?

The battery can be recharged by connecting the type-C charging cable directly to the body's charging port and the USB charger.

• Does Specta Mini have any special requirements for the charger? Does it support rapid charging?

Specta Mini has no special charger requirements. You can use any standard USB charger. Specta Mini supports QC and USB PD fast charging protocols and up to 29W input power.

Propulsion

• What is the maximum wind resistance of Specta Mini?

Specta Mini can float stably in wind speeds up to 8.5-10.5 m/s.

• What is the maximum operating ceiling of Specta Mini?

The maximum service ceiling is 4000m.

Firmware update

• Is the remote control required to update Specta Mini? Can I update the glider by connecting it to my smartphone?

No. The remote control is required for updating, not your smartphone.

• Can I use other apps on the Specta app while updating Specta Mini?

No. If you do, the update will fail. You will need to download the firmware and update again.

• Can I disconnect from the internet after downloading the firmware?

Yes, you can.
